Bakhtiyar Vahabzade

Baxtiyar Vahabzade opened his eyes to Shaki in 1925 to the world. A great poet began to take his first breath into the world. Nobody knew there would be such a great poet in the future.


When they were smaller, they moved to Baku. After graduating from high school, he was accepted to the Faculty of Philology by the great knowledge. He defended his Ph.D. dissertation on the theme "The lyrics of Samad Vurghun" (1951). He began his creative career in 1943 after he published his first poem called "Mom and Picture". Since then, regular publications have been published regularly in poetry, scientific articles, and reports. Lyrics in his first book, My Friends, reflected the feelings and thoughts of the people who fought in the struggle against fascism. In his lyrical poems and poems, in his plays, modern-day problems are described in lyric-philosophy, with new color dyes. "The second sound", "Conscience", "After the rain", "Trail of the roads", "Farjad" and "This world goes", "The sword of ourselves", "Punishment", " (1960-2003) were performed at the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater. She also worked as a critic and literary critic. He defended his doctoral dissertation on "The Life and Creativity of Samet Vurgun" (1964). He has been working at the Azerbaijan State University as a professor at the Department of Modern Azerbaijan Literature (1950-1990). Retired in 1990. He was a corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (1980), then an active member (2000). In 1981, at the VII Congress of the USSR Writers, he was elected a member of the Board of the Union of Writers of the USSR. He was also a member of the Board of the Union of Writers and Council of Elders (1991). The literary-artistic process was known as an unbearable propagandist and organizer. He was a member of the Baku KP Committee of the Azerbaijan Communist Party and a few deputies to the Baku Council of People's Deputies and the Supreme Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the X convocation, and to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1995 and 2000. In 1976 he was awarded the Azerbaijan State Prize for his poems "Lenin talk" and "Mugham". He was awarded the "Red Labor Flag" and "Istiglal" (1995).


Bakhtiyar Vahabzade was one of the pioneers of the national liberation movement, which began in the 60s. He joined the fair struggle for freedom and independence of the Azerbaijani people, who expressed their historical tragedy in the history of Azerbaijan, divided into two parts by the Gulustan poem, written in 1958, which fell under the rubble of the Russian and Persian Empires.
According to this poem, the poet was pulled out of the Azerbaijan State University in 1962 and was restored only after 2 years. (Note: Professor Shirmammad Huseynov says that Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh was not dismissed: "Lucky could not be dismissed because it could have caused a serious illness, and forced him to a medical leave for doctor's defense). In the Soviet regime, the nationalities of the nation, who were the subject of national discrimination, expressed their sorrows and expressed their sorrows of their own nation, by expressing the pains of the nation exposed to all kinds of deprivations and by using different literary methods, transmitting events in large volumes of poems and plays either to history or to other countries. The poet, who exposed the direct dictatorship of the Soviet Union, published the title "Sounds from the Fund" after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
B.Vahabzade is the author of more than 70 poems, 2 monographs, 11 scientific-publicist books and hundreds of articles, as well as more than 20 large-scale poems on history and contemporary issues. Poet's works - poetry books, dramas, and publicist writings have been translated into many languages, including English, French, German, Persian, Turkish, Polish, Spanish, Hungarian and former Soviet Union.
On February 13, 2009, he died in Baku after an 84-year-old illness.
