Despite losing a couple of star players to injuries, The Warriors got off to a hot start to start the 2019 season. The game went back and forth for much of the early days, but the Warriors ultimately came up on top. They will look to keep the momentum going into the season as they face off against We Eaton Pham in Week 2.

Batting

The Warriors were led by Cody Bellinger (1B, Los Angeles Dodgers). Bellinger put up 78 total points after smacking 7 home runs to start the season on a tear. The Warriors lost Miguel Andujar (3B, New York Yankees) to a torn labrum and Trea Turner (SS, Washington Nationals) to a broken finger, which put a damper on the overall bat production, but they still managed to put up a total of 269. Brian Dozer (2B, Washington Nationals) finished the week with negative points and will likely ride the bench in Week 2. Other than that, the Warriors bats are off to a hot start.

Pitching

The Warriors pitching staff had 4 pitchers that put up over 30 points in Week 1. They totaled 118. Joe Musgrove (SP, Pittsburgh Pirates) led the staff with 37 points after having one nice start and a relief appearance. David Robertson (RP, Philadelphia Phillies) struggled and ended with -11 points after 3 rough outings. He will likely get sent to the Free Agents to make roster space for the injured bats. Overall, the pitching staff is shakey, but managed to get the job done in Week 1.
