Today I learned that following a dispute between Apple and the Beatles, there is a system sound on Mac computers called "So sue me".

The story goes like this:

The Beatles' production company is called Apple Records. They had an agreement with the more familiar Apple, that they would only deal with computers and not get into the music business.

A few years later, the creators of the Mac wanted to introduce a system sound called "Chime". Apple's lawyers said the name would complicate the company with the Beatles, and vetoed it.

The engineers were upset, and changed the name of the sound to Sosumi ("So sue me"). They told lawyers that the name was Japanese, not music, and that was how they got the defiance of the Beatles to Mac computers around the world.
