I really love beautiful art from previous centuries, it is amazing that people were able to use the cutting edge technology and ideas of their times to creat very photo realistic artwork. This painting has become a classic and is studied by students of art and art history and I understand why. one day I would love to be able to see the original, it is in the Netherlands at an art museum in the Hague.
