Managed to steal some time away from working on the class assignment last #BeautifulSunday and went Chinatown. In the bus, before getting off the bus stop, I tooked this picture of the 2 big pigs decoration.
三个美丽星期天，放下功课偷闲去牛车水。在公车上，下车前拍了这两只大猪的装饰。

第一站，先到熟食中心吃。官方准备大装修这地方但延迟到新年过后。想必是为了让做生意的多赚点才休息。
Near there, one of the shop, I usually go to hunt for the Chinese New Year decorations. Sometimes, I ended up buying things there but this year, I already bought something nearer to home.
附近的这家装饰品点是我有时有光顾的可是这次没有因为在家附近已经买了要买的。
One of the stalls that sell different type of preserved/cured meats was there as usual.
这是卖腊肉的其中一个摊位。每年都有几摊。
Passing near the food street at Smith Street. Some commotion?
经过史密斯街的美食街。有点骚动。
The God of Wealth was there raising fund for Chung Hwa Medical.
财神爷为中华医院筹款。
Didn't see many stalls selling plants and flowers. This was one of them.
没见到很多买花或植物的店。这是其中之一。
Outside the main entrance of Chinatown Complex, this stage would have many nights of performance before and during the Chinese New Year.
在牛车水大厦外，这台上在农历新年前后将会有很多表演。
Bao Zhi Lin is closed but someone is selling Chinese New Year decoration outside the shop.
宝芝林关了可是有人在外面卖新年装饰。
Out to South Bridge Road, I took this photo before going back to the market area.
走到桥南路了，先拍张照片再走回进去年或市场。
Passing through the food street.
经过美食街。
Many food stalls and restaurants were still busy.
很多食物摊位和餐馆都还忙。
Here is another decoration shop.
这是另一家装饰品店。
Outside this tea shop, they have people set up to sell peanuts and melon seeds.
在这卖茶叶店外，有人设立卖花生和瓜子。
There is already a crowd but I expecting more to come later.
已经很多人了但是应该晚些还有更多人。
Stalls selling fruits including durians only started coming here in recent years.
卖水果包括榴莲是近几年进入年货市场的。
End of this lane and going into South Bridge Road again.
这条街尽头了。又进入桥南路。
