That is some amazing history on that island! Even in World History class in school, Corregidor was never mentioned, so I was not aware of it until you began blogging about it sometime back. Thanks for the history lesson and the photos and write-up about this place!

Yes I guess the Island is not mentioned in history classes. It played a big role in the battle of the Pacific. Philippine and American soldiers fighting together like brothers against a common enemy. The soldiers who were captured here were taken and forced to march 70 miles. Known as the "The Bataan Death March". The atrocities has taken shape in the form or paintings and artworks. I must warn you though as some paintings are a bit graphic.
