The BrewDog beer is a different but tasty beer
Did you ever had a Brewdog beer. This is a nice and tasty IPA but not one of this very dominant and strong tasting ones. I like all that different stuff you recognize in that beer.

This one pours a clear golden colour, and looks like a regular beer. Luckily that is where the likeness ends. This one is nice and tasty, with sweet hoppy smell on opening, and taste is Bitter citrus, grapefruit, with a little bit of pine perhaps. It is medium bodied, with fine carbonation. The head was a nice size, and lacing was apparent. Aftertaste is hoppy, with malt also coming through.
An altogether decent beer and one I will try again for sure.

I have started my visit with a BrewDog flagship, Punk IPA, an almost legendary beer that brought the craft to everyday Joe before it was cool. According to my best knowledge, it is also one of the first beers brewed by BrewDog. Punk is brewed in famous style of IPA, well known to all beer geeks. It is dark gold and has a nice white head with a good lacing. Aroma is mostly malts and American hops, in this particular case you can smell citrus fruits like oranges and tangerines. Taste wise, beer is really well balanced. The slightly sweet malty layer is countered by hoppy bitterness with noticeable citrus notes. Punk IPA, like other beers from BrewDog has a really clean profile and because of that is easily distinguishable in a blind test. Majority of the BrewDog beer has this common taste note. It is really refreshing even though it has 5.6% of alcohol. After more than 10 years on the market, Punk IPA is still extremely popular, which is the best proof of high quality. Personally I rate this beer at 3.5/5 but only because I have tried better beers. 7 years ago I would definitely give 4.5/5.
My own review is a 4.1/5 as I like this little different taste for orange and citrus together with a well balanced bitterness but there is as well a bit sweet.

Some weeks ago I was visiting London and accidentally I was ending up in front of the BrewDog at Tower hill and sure I have to enter that place after visiting the London tower.
My first PUNK
We went direct to the bar and got a few beer to taste. I got a PUNK as I need to taste this famous beer.
Whooot, that is tasty and all the fruits together with that little more bitterness. Yummy

Ich hab das Bier auf der letzten London Reise auch getestet. Ehrlich gesagt war das Mal so garnicht mein Geschmack... Aber hey sie Geschmäcker sind ja bekanntlich verschieden.

Für mich fällt das unter den Aspekt "mal was anderes" und dafür ist das ganz lecker.
Aber den ganzen Abend kann ich das auch nicht trinken.
1-2 davon gehen aber gut. ;-)
Wenn du Mal in London bist empfehle ich dir das Sherlock Holmes Pub in der Nähe des Trafalgar Square. Trink da Mal ein gleichnamiges Ale, das ist sehr fein.

I started to import this beer into the Ukraine back in 2014 while working at the Goodwine Store
I don't see South Africa on the map where the Brew Dog is available!! Nice post, I will have to go to the Beer, if the Beer does not want to come to me!! Have a nice !BEER on me!!
