Tipples Beer Review #107 - Six String Peter Clarke Sour November (Aust)
Okay ill admit it I'm a sucker for some good branding, and this can concept is a corker. Two cans stacked together and you get a cartoon of tiny rock God. - a bassist, it's the reason I bought it, hell it's the reason I bought two. (not that's marketing brilliance)
Six String are a Sydney based brewery that are musically themed. A logo that is a guitar plectrum, six strings is obviously a reference to guitar. But clearly this favouring of the guitar has caused friction with the band so they have launched a range of beers called the amplified bass series.
Peter Clarke is the bassist in an Australian band called Angela's Dish, who I've never heard of so I can't vouch to the likeness, I'll try a dig out a YouTube clip below.
But onto the beer it's a Berliner weiss it is a light and tart style so not very bass at all. It soured with peaches.
As you can see in the picture - It is a lovely golden colour, with no head and a crystal clear body - impressive.
The taste is a little sweeter than a Berliner Weisse would normally be, there is a sourness from the peaches, all in all okay and a well made non flashy brew, so maybe it is like a bassist after all, not flashy, but strong stable and keeping it all together
As always this post is part of #beersaturday by @detlev - now in it's 87th week which is impressive in itself. get around it over here at the main post: https://steemit.com/beersaturday/@detlev/the-thirsty-beersaturday-calls-steemians-since-87-for-more-fun-and-their-stories

That’s some cool packaging. I love that beer can labels have become a new form of art.
