Beer Review

Hop Wave 2 is an 8.5% Imperial/Double IPA made by Equilibrium Brewery in Middletown, NY. Equilibrium was opened by two MIT graduates that follow scientific principles to produce delicious brews. After conducting many experiments, they ended up with recipes that create the Equilibrium beers we see today. Hop Wave 2 is an altered version of dHop2 with a supersized hop charge and a touch of lactose.

The Can

Hop Wave 2 is served in a full pint can. The label is a glistening red and orange color. The words 'Hop Wave 2' are written vertically across the can. It's a sleek can design that gets you excited to pour out the delicious contents inside.

The Beer

Hop Wave 2 is an ultra hopped Imperial/Double IPA with an awesome mouth-feel. It pours a very murky orange color, releasing aromas of tropical fruit and earthy grass. The 8.5% alcohol content was well masked in this one, making it a delicious yet dangerous drink. I look forward to trying more beers from Equilibrium Brewery in the future!
