What is Follower Di Steemit Function....?

Each steemit account must have followers, or simply called followers. Actually what does this followers mean? What does it do for? As in other social media accounts in general, these followers will always be able to view and receive any information shared from the account that followed.

So what about steemit?
Probably the same with social media followers in general. But how harmful when the followers just follow and become spam alone, why not, if we look at, and for me personally my follower has been half a thousand or about 500 san, but every post I only get no more than 10 who saw or which responds in the form of votes and so forth.

Is not that a disadvantage, writing long and wide but meaningless, no one seeing or reading, so what is this followers? Are they sculptures?

I only hope that my works in this steemit can be seen at least by my followers and steemian all, some once told me that "if you want to write, write in the media, if your writing wants to be read, do not write in steemit because surely a few will read ". That's roughly what she said.
