Better DLive Survey

in #betterdlive6 years ago

Hello everyone!

The @dlive members have a survey which I'll gladly answer.

What do you think about DLive?

Dlive is a wonderful platform created around the blockchain which can enable streamers to start streaming quickly and make some money on day one if they are noticed. They don't have to waste time like on many other platforms where they need to work for free until they build a community and find their audience. They don't rely entirely on sponsors and have to beg for subscriptions from others from which they see less than 50%. Here they don't need to have a certain amount of views before they even have the opportunity to be offered partnership.

Yes, sadly there are some things which require fiddling and constant setup before each stream but I'm willing to live with that. I'm certain that in the future those issues will be resolved.

Dlive enables a lot of freedom and you can reward those people you like watching very simply by giving them an upvote, or even donate to them. And the most important thing is, you never need to pull the cards out of your wallet.

How do you decide a stream is good or not?

I like things being created. That is the reason why I like to watch creative people draw, paint, play instruments. I think that that part of the community is growing and that it takes a lot of effort, skill and passion. It is sometimes difficult for those people to get noticed as their streams may seem boring at times as they meticulously apply their skill onto paper or canvas. They may not always be talkative as the most of them is into that what they are doing. But the most important thing is that they show their interest in communication with people that watch their stream.

Other than those creative people I also like watching skilled players play games, and when they lose, or die, either because they made a mistake or they found someone who was better. I like to see them explain why that happened and how it could have been prevented. I don't like name calling and pointless bashing. I usually end watching streams for that.

I can say that all I want to see from the person streaming is his/her skill and that they are not playing or doing something against their nature. It doesn't matter if they have the best visual effects and if their sound is the best, if I notice that they don't enjoy what they play or do I will not watch it more than few minutes.

Sound and video quality are important and both can be fixed easy if the person streaming is willing to do some research and resolve the issue. I have personally assisted in fixing those issues multiple times. And I've had it happen to me multiple times. They were fixed.

My reason why video quality is not the most important factor is that some people are limited by bandwidth, and they can't surpass that barrier. They should to their best with their resources and I would be happy to watch them strive.

How can DLive improve?

I've noticed that after some time live streams disappear from live page. That should be resolved as soon as possible as it may happen that streamer is hidden from view by someone who would potentially like to see that content.

I would also like to see the creative category added. I would also like to see the option to see if streamers which I follow are on line, or if they have made some new videos I could see.

I can say that I'm pretty much happy with everything else on Dlive at this moment. I only hope that the community will grow and that all types of streamers, both creative, gamers and others will lend hands to each other so that we can all grow and make Dlive better than some other platforms.

I would also like to see those Dlive campaigns as normal week to week thing.

Briefly explain us why you started streaming on DLive, what are you streaming and how are you planning to improve your stream in the future.

I'm an artist. Quiet, creative, and rather introvert person that occasionally delves into large groups of people to challenge himself. It's not something I do often, and it's definitely not something that's easy for me. It takes a lot of willpower and energy for me to do so and often I need peace and quiet to gather my thoughts and experiences.

I started streaming to try and get more comfortable with forcing myself out of the shell and I can say it wasn't easy for me to start. I often get lost in games, books, or my work. Hours can pass before I know what's going on around me. Having people watch what I do was at first really hard and nerve wrecking but now it's easier and it keeps me present.

I like streaming doing creative things, such as drawing or painting (while playing some music). I have plans to stream some games as well, my reviews, gameplays and first impressions. I think for myself that I'm only average skilled player so streaming games is not something I often do. I have a feeling I suck at it. I would like to change that.

I would also like to try painting on stream (real paint on canvas - Bob Ross style), create some live tutorials and streams where I would answer questions from my viewers related to anything I like. Show them games that are not that widely known or played but I play them or I have played them, or drawing tricks, ideas and such.

That's all from me for now.
Have fun and keep steeming!

What a great post @zneeke! I haven't checked out the dlive besides one of your live streams, I think I will now. A creative category would definitely be great. That's awesome you are overcoming the fear of live streaming, I can relate to that, most everything I do takes a lot of willpower, people comment sometimes I seem very outgoing. Yea, sure, besides just sweating a river lol. Seeing some more live streams from you will be kewl!

Thank you :)
I think I did overcame it. It's not 100% but I'm not panicking anymore while streaming. It definitely takes willpower, some practice and for me at least, some preparation before.
Only problem I have now is that I get so into what I do that I forget that I'm streaming but that might be a good thing :)
