The earth is not a cube, much less a spherical one. If we remove the water we will observe that the earth is simply a few deformed rocks united by gravity, when wrapped by the liquid mass, it spreads according to the gravitational lines and the earth seen from a distance, looks like a bluish ball. It is said that the earth is spherical, for the simple fact of having a visual reference.
