A nice spot for birdwatching
Valschfontein, just after leaving the Free State and entering the Eastern Cape.
This is a pan that forms in the rainy season that the owner of the property maintains at other times of the year with windmill borehole pumps. This leads to visits from a lot of waterfowl.
Some red billed indigenous ducks.
Some nesters.
Closer.
