The Beauty of Colors
Lately, I was browsing in other social media and I saw a beautiful bird. The colors of the Mandarin Duck caught my eyes attention. There's an overwhelming feeling whenever I stare the pictures of this God-given beauty and I want to share some info about this beautiful creature.

Mandarin ducks are the ultimate symbol of love and marriage in South East Asia, especially in China, Japan and South Korea.The notion that Mandarin ducks promote love and marriage goes back many centuries. Pairs of ducks are often seen swimming close together. It is told the Mandarin ducks stay faithful to their mate throughout their Lifetime. These ducks are told to be very peaceful; they get along without bickering and live in perfect harmony. Their love for each other is so profound that if one of them dies or disappears, the duck left behind will be devastated. Without his/her mate the remaining duck will have no will power to live anymore and death is soon inevitable.
A well-known Chinese saying goes like this: “Two Mandarin ducks playing in water”, in other words “a loving couple”.

Facts about Mandarin Duck
The mandarin, widely regarded as the world's most beautiful duck, is a native of China and Japan.
The drake mandarin's stunning plumage has long made it an artist's favorite, and it is widely depicted in oriental art.
Mandarins favor small wooded ponds and avoid lakes or large bodies of open water.
In their native China mandarins have long been regarded as symbols of fidelity and pairs were given to brides on their wedding day.
Female mandarins don't quack, but they do make a series of clucking calls that are invariably uttered when they see danger, such as a hunting fox.
