These birds are almost unrealistic to meet alone, they always keep flocks. However, in the summer I occasionally met lonely waxwings. Well ... not to meet ... they flew past me at high speed.

By the way, you will almost never see these birds on the ground. The thing is that they have large and very bent claws, which are very inconvenient for moving on the ground. However, they sometimes go down to drink.

Oh, and I'm not lucky with these birds! I can not make at least one normal photo! It happens a little natural light, and the birds are in the shade, the birds are busy and the view is bad... And here again!
Siskins mostly lives in coniferous forests, but from autumn he can live in mixed and deciduous forests. In the winter, I saw a couple of siskin in a company with redpolls. And this is not surprising, because they are close relatives :)
