Ratel's photos #320 Forest Birds-253

The common whitethroat (Sylvia communis)

This bird is about the size of a sparrow, but due to its dense body it gives the impression of a rather large bird. Especially stands out her large head. It is especially noticeable when the male starts singing, then he stumps feathers on the throat, from which the head becomes even larger.

In the forest, almost at the edge of the coast there is a small edge. It is full of various plants useful for birds. In these plants and thickets, birds live, nest, and feed. This bird periodically examined thickets for insects, and sometimes was distracted by singing a song.
