The common rosefinch (Carpodacus erythrinus) or scarlet rosefinch
Earlier, I posted photos of this bird, met on the coastal forest. And this time, photos from my favorite forest, which I most often go to. Yes, I met these birds in different habitats: off the coast, in a mixed forest, in a steppe zone.
This time I watched a funny situation. A pair of males sang songs, apparently competing with each other.
Look at this photo. This male is completely red! This suggests that it is quite old. After all, the redder and richer the color, the older the male. Most likely, each of them designated its territory with a song.
