The great spotted woodpecker (Dendrocopos major), young bird.

A young woodpecker learns to live independently.
By the way, by themselves, woodpeckers are solitary, do not form flocks.
You will never see a flock of woodpeckers. However, they participate in mixed flocks of birds consisting of many species of other birds.

I am not familiar with this species because I live in the USA. The orange color of the vent is peculiar! Thank you for sharing :)

Here in California we have acorn woodpeckers, which are very social and live in family groups! Their social behavior is very interesting to read about and observe, if you ever have a chance!
