I'm new to the steemit world, having only heard of it a week ago when researching SmartCash. I want to say a big thank you to everyone who's posted about it since you have been my primary source of information.

The reason I'm posting today is to talk about buying STEEM

I've been trading crypto for roughly 3 months now, but the biggest lesson I've learned is to hold some fiat to be able to buy the dip. Today that paid off, and I got to not only invest while the market was down, I got to buy a stake in this great new platform.
I traded some USDT on Bittrex for some BTC and the BTC for STEEM.
Here is what I bought it for, time will tell how good a deal it was.
The next thing I had to do was transfer it to my wallet. Thankfully that's fully documented in the Wiki:

Hey @tytran thank you for the welcome. If I can make one Steem a day you better believe I will be powering it up. Thank's for complimenting my writing. My skills are more technical writing based so creating blog posts is new territory for me. This will be a good project for the year to develop my creative writing skills. FYI I'm posting this at 4AM instead of going to sleep since I'm so pumped about how well this post did.
Smart moves. I been trading only a little over a year now. While my timing needs work, my charts help. Recently I see that if Steem obeys the Fib extensions the way it has obeyed the retracements, 300% Gains in the next 6-12 monts
