Very likely Bitcoin will be outgrown, but I don't think neither Core nor Cash will disappear any time soon. There's a lot of money and talent in both. People that are dependant on but also passionately and productively dedicated these projects. They still have an important part to play in the crypto ecosystem.
In the end it will be neither bitcoin nor bitcoin cash. It will be the one that can do 50,000 transactions per second.
