America this, America that; now where is America?

in #bitcoin7 years ago

America boasts of being the most innovative country and is rightly so. America has contributed to the making of several of the definitive things in our civilization.

However America is missing from contributing to one very important piece of civilization. We will look at that.

America in technology

Look at all the world's top technological companies;

  • Apple
  • IBM
  • Intel
  • Microsoft
  • Amazon
  • Google
  • Amazon

and countless others are American companies. Americans created;

  • the transistor
  • the radio
  • electricity
  • internet
  • computer chip
  • computer programming

and most of the everyday technological gadgets we use.

America and capitalism

Right from start, America was set up as a capitalist nation by its founders in what became famously known as the "America Dream".

Capitalism did pay America well and they do have world's richest population and the most wealthy economy.

The New York Stock Exchange accounts for more than 70% of all global stock value while the US dollar is the world's reserve currency.

America in Human Rights

America has position itself as the defender of humans right, and has contributed to the ending of the slave trade, establishing the human right courts and defends the right of minorities.

When it come to feminism, we can America can boldly say they championed the cause of equality for women than any other nations.

America in Religion

There is no doubt about the fact that America was founded by Christian founders, leading to Christian values dominating America until the rise of secularism.

The early founding of America on Christian values still reflect in their Constitution and culture and served as inspiration to the world.

America in secularism

Following the rise of secularism, America has become both the hive and the advocacy of secular values.

America has contributed to the sexual revolution, atheism and capitalism more than any other nation.

America in World Wars

While America may not have played a definitive role in the First World War, they certainly won the Second World War.

Following their definitive win of the second world War, they became the world's sole super power in terms of economic wealth and military strength.

World Democracy

It is not without reason that America is known as the world's police. They have military presence in over 170 countries, in their bid to restore order and democracy to the world.

This situation is so bad, some call it an empire while one Quora user had to as this question;

Why does the US have military bases in other countries but not vice verse?

Seriously, how else do you answer that question other than to say that America is policing the world?

Now where is America?

As we have seen, America has gravely contributed to the making of all aspects of civilization as we know.

However, when it comes to Blockchain technology, we are yet to see America take a definitive stand.

Even in the case of Bitcoins, China alone powers 70% of all Bitcoin mining power while America cannot even launch ICOs.

What will America be known for when it come to Bitcoin and Blockchain? Will America be known as one of the nations which contributed to Blockchain technology?

With China playing around with Bitcoin and Blockchain technology, will America rise to the occasion to become the world's leader in Blockchain technology?

Britain, China and Russia are fighting to dominate the Blockchain industry. If America does not take over now that China is re-organizing, will it loose out its world super power to the nation which champions Blockchain technology before its does?

What do you think?

What will history remember America for when it come to Blockchain technology? Will history remember America as the nation which contributed to everything else but Blockchain technology?

What is America so pre-occupied with that they do not have time for Bitcoin or Blockchain? Is it Trump, Go Pokerman, Star Wars or North Korea?

Blockchain is against USA government's interests. Because the logic of blockchain empowers users, not a centralised powerhouse (e.g. exceptionalist USA gov't or monopolistic corporations)

America as a whole doesn't want BTC and blockchain unless they can figure out how to control it and make money off of it.. the fact that it could save tons of money time and labor is unimportant.
I think we will miss the boat and when we do people will realize the USD is just worthless paper. American debt and stupidity will be our down fall

let's hope that doesn't happen

America is exploring the uses and applications of the blockchain technology in their self interest. They will not accept Bitcoins as they peobably see it is a threat to the USD and not in their self interest.

UK, US, UN, where all created by the same people you are not allowed to name. But their Empire is falling apart. They make one mistake after the other and more and more people are beginning to wake up and see through it.

I think america is trying to preserve their currency (USD) but they cannot stop BTC, i will be dropping more analysis of the future of BTC

Wow fella no one noticed such great points that America has contributed... You're articles just rock @blockrush.
