This is a rundown of top 5 cryptographic currencies and their trends for the years 2017 - 18.

The comparison and ranking is in terms of their market capitalization.

Definition of market capitalization: The value of a company that is traded on the stock market,  calculated by multiplying the total number of shares by the present  share price.

Also, it is interesting to note that steem is ranked 34 on this list. I've included steem just for referrence.
