We all knew this was coming. It's being reported that facebook is now exploring creating its own crypto currency.

Smart crypto investors can see right through this. Let's begin with the fact that facebook has a net worth just shy of 70 billion dollars.
Hello...Mark has a net worth just shy of say it...seventy billlliiiooonnn dollars....
What has face book done for the 1.86 billion users that helped Mark Zuckerburg amass this billion dollar empire. Facebook has been selling users information, pictures, and other private information that users just casually give away for free on the platform.

I get pretty ticked off when I think about how we allow corporations to exploit and use us and we get nothing in return.

Facebook sees that road is narrowing on the dwindling number of users, and facebook stock taking a hit because of recent ties to the Russia investigation over user information being sold.

The trend I notice in the crypto news is how the old time rich big wigs like Warren Buffet, and Bill Gates are very negative on bitcoin and try to spread fud when given the opportunity. The younger millennial rich corporation CEOs
and owners are either silent on crypto like Zuckerburg, or pro crypto like Jack Dorsey.

Take note of all of the companies that these four men are involved with.

  1. Its been reported that Facebook is exploring ways to create its own coin.

  2. Warren Buffet owns 2.5 billion of Goldman Sachs. GS has been exploring its own blockchain technology.

  3. Microsoft first embarked on the blockchain journey in November 2015, and is using the technology in collaboration with mojix to create swifter supply chains to lower business costs.

  4. Square cash app allows anyone to buy and sell bitcoin. Jack Dorsey has been a vocal supporter of bitcoin and crypto for some time now.

Interesting article, thanks for sharing. I've smashed the upvote button for you! I hope this isn't the case, they are a huge monopoly and crypto doesn't need them.

Also, if you are looking to get some tokens without investing or mining check out Crowdholding (https://www.crowdholding.com). They are a co-creation platform were you get rewarded for giving feedback to crypto startups on the platform. You can earn Crowdholding's token as well as DeepOnion, ITT, Smartcash and many other ERC-20 tokens.

Thank you for the support. I will check out crowdholding.

Facebook is one of the biggest players in the game and the creation of a Facebook coin sounds like a viable option in the near future considering Facebook will most certainly need to do something big after the recent scandal it's been at the center of. But for now, there's no evidence to prove this to be true. So, at the moment, there is no Facebook coin to trade on Blockbasis, where users can send and receive crypto using only an email address. But we can assure you, there are many other great coins available on our platform ready to store, send, receive or exchange!

Totally agree, right now its just a rumor.

Excuse me for being the crypto-heretic that I am:

Why - for any other than PR-purposes - should the most centralised of apps choose a decentralized system a currency?
FB has centralization written all over its DNA.

Sure, blockchain sounds as sexy as "internet" did 18yrs ago.
But thats in about it. Big corporations have little to gain from decentralisation.
But it sure sounds cool...

I agree totally big corporations main goal is to make more money for the share holders.

They'll have a lot to gain once it becomes clear that centralized organizations can't compete with decentralized ones.

very nice decision to facebook . They made right decision by moving to crypto. Welcome

Im sure fb intention has more to do with the competitors like steemit already heavily invested in blockchain.

yeah i agree with you

good luck, facebook has lost quite a reputation, so perhaps you might want to build up some self-esteem ;)

LOL good one ha ha ha

yeah well said i think it is the case
