The largest photographic company and the world icon of the last century of the portrait industry, has taken a new step in its intention to reinvent itself now and position itself again in the arena that once occupied.

Kodak, at the beginning of the year launched its KODAKOne token through an ICO, reaching 88% of sales and monopolizing the attention of all media for the way they have overlapped after their bankruptcy in 2012.

The conception of the KodakOne token is that photographers can register their photographs in the Blockchain, thus being able to create a digital ownership mark in a public accounting book that allows micropayments for the use of their work. However, some steps must occur before this is really practical. People are currently adopting the use of the KODAKOne token so the process is having relevance.

Kodak in that sense, apparently has found a way to massify the use of its respective token technology; To solve this problem, it has allowed its technological ally WENN DIGITAL, an agreement with four teams of the National Association Basketball (NBA) and two franchises of the National Hockey League (NHL) of the United States of America to create a system that allow the fans of these teams to upload the photographs and videos they capture during the games and potentially get paid for this work through the KODAKOne.

The methodology of how this "reward" system will be carried out has not yet been detailed, but we intuit that it will be through a kind of App to upload the photos from a SmartPhone that automatically connects the application with the system registry of the KODAKOne, identifying the rise that then allows the respective stamp in the chain of blocks with which the user (or fan) can access the respective payment.

The potential of this system lies in the possibility that the downloads of these multimedia files may be hundreds but thousands that capture the most dramatic moments of the games and their protagonists, thus allowing a mass and greater coverage even than traditional media. The users thus could legally obtain these key moments of the parties without gray areas of the source and potentially obtain payments for it.

The participating arenas for the NBA are the AT & T center of the San Antonio Spurs, The Bankers Life Fieldhouse of the Indiana Pacers, the Golden Center of the Kings of Sacramento and the Talking Stick Resort Arena of the Phoenix Suns. In regards to the NHL, the pilot sites are the Xcel Energy Center of Minnesota Wild and the Prudential Center of the Devils of New Jersey.

It is estimated that among the six teams, there are a total of more than 10 million fans attending the games each year, making this a strong support for the launch of the new platform. If the idea is successful and successful, Kodak can have the entire NBA and NHL system at their disposal, not to mention the American Football (NFL) and Major League Baseball (MLB) leagues.

For now, for those interested in testing the functionality of the system, they should only access the Kodak website, which will indicate the link to the website of WENN DIGITAL, a trusted third party who is licensed by the company to operate everything related to the KODAKOne platform.

So far this year, the company has seen a resurgence in its profits thanks to the turn of the helm undertaken towards new technologies, with an accumulated performance in the first five months of the year of more than 60% in the value of its shares.
