will soon be able to buy
frappuccinos with bitcoin
The coffee chain is working
with Microsoft on a new
cryptocurrency platform
called Bakkt
Baktt Will convert bitcoin
and other cryptocurrencies
into U.S. dollars
Skeptics challenge the
use of bitcoin for payments
because of this volatility
The price has dropped
by about 50% this year
But Starbucks' initiative
might help legitimize the
digital currency
Other retailers that accept
bitcoin include Overstock,
Expedia and shopify
Square will also let you use bitcoin to pay for things. A lot of shops use square as their point of sale terminal system. Adoption is what crypto really needs right now.
