The number of steem accounts on steem blockchain is about 1.24 million only. But the actual number of account holders are much smaller because many people hold more than one account and some hold hundreds of accounts. That means a major part of these 6.5 - 7 million visitors are non account holders, who merely visit, read and leave without participating in the steem economy.
