in #bitcoin6 years ago (edited)

There are currently over 2,000 cryptos in the market. However, Altcoins has a lot of weaknesses in ideas and visions and maybe up to 90% of the current Altcoins in the market will have no future. But there will be good Altcoins that will survive and grow with the market's future.

2017 is considered the crazy year of the Crypto market. Numerous ICO projects have been launched and thousands of Altcoins with various functionalities exist in the market. In 2018 we see a significant decline, but there is a lot of information and predictions that the electronic money market will continue to grow.

By tracking ICO projects over the past two years, we have seen many projects that are not very potential and difficult to implement. This, as well as the low success rate of the projects, is clearly evident in the fact that there are a lot of electronic coins in the market but none of them actually apply in real life.

Top 10 Potential Altcoin for 2019

1. EOS

EOS solves some shortcomings of the Ethereum Network. For example, to develop a dApp on Ethereum you need to use Solidity (a proficient) programming language for smart contracts. The need to know Solidity is a barrier to using Ethereum networks. EOS fixes this by providing services to developers, including database and service account management, without requiring programming knowledge.

EOS also has other technological strengths. For example, it's faster and easier to expand than Ethereum. When the Ethereum network requires users to pay gas for use of the network, transactions on the EOS block are free. EOS also has great community support and enthusiasm and for good reason. Coins not being mined. Instead, block producers are voted by the community.

Finally, the EOS recently completed the ICO and has the capital to its full potential. For these reasons, we can confidently believe that EOS will be a profitable investment in 2019 and beyond.

2. Ripple – XRP

The ripple is currently the third largest electronic money after Bitcoin and Ethereum on total capitalization. The ripple provides global financial payment services to banks allowing them to transact directly and immediately across the country.

Therefore, the ripple is oriented to large organizations instead of individual users. Its goal is to provide financial institutions with an easy and reliable solution for cross-border payments. It has partnered with major banks around the world and many financial institutions are turning to the Ripple Protocol. This institutional support and the fact that it is safe from the SEC regulation is why we should believe that XRP will survive this mid-year haemorrhage altogether!

3. Stellar – XLM

Stellar's goal is to provide fast, efficient service at low transaction costs to individuals for cross-border payments. Unlike XRP, Stellar is geared towards individuals, not large organizations.

Companies like Paypal are currently dominating the online payment arena and charge around 5% transaction fees. In contrast, Stellar offers 5 seconds of transaction speed and extremely low fees (for example, Tempo dApp deposits running on Blockchain Stellar can handle 600,000 transactions at $ 0.01).

More importantly, Stellar is not using the Proof of Work algorithm, meaning it does not have to deal with the issue of consuming electrical power to exploit such Bitcoin (instead of PoW it uses the Stellar Consensus Protocol. Finally, Stellar has established a number of partnerships with major technology companies, including IBM.

4. Zcash – ZEC

Zcash (ZEC) is an electronic currency based on the PoW algorithm, potentially anonymous and released in October 2016. This currency uses a public blockchain but the number of transactions and addresses sent. / receipt still holds the anonymous element.

5. 0x – ZRX

In recent times, the explosion of decentralized trading floors has been noticed. 0x is one of the potential decentralized layers, with its own protocol, 0x that allows ERC20-based tokens to be traded directly on Ethereum's blockchain. And this has made 0x a promising investment. 0x has achieved major milestones set in its roadmap, being built has easily entered the developer community. 0x is also mentioned in the Coinbase blog. For these reasons, 0x also promises to be a good investment.

6. Basic Attention Token – BAT

BAT was founded by a team of highly regarded people with extensive experience in the technology world. Basic Attention Token binds advertisers, publishers, and users.

Also synonymous with Basic Attention Token is the combination of the Brave browser integrated with the BAT token. Browsers can repel malicious software and protect users' privacy while they surf. According to the announcement from the user whitepaper will use a browser blocking the trackers and advertisers selling their personal information. This is why BAT can be a good long term investment.

7. Tron – TRX

TRX will be a controversial choice for some. Why do we add it to the potential Altcoin list? TRON recently bought BitTorrent. This acquisition would be significant if TRON could develop more secure and hierarchical torrent methods in the future.

8. Ethereum Classic – ETC

ETC may be ready to exist for one major reason: Ethereum is moving towards a proof of stock system. Some people will definitely want to use ETC because they like proof of consensus of work.

9. Monero — XMR

Quite similar to Zcash, Monero is an electronic money symbol for privacy and fancy currency in the darknet market.
It has a solid trading platform that includes a ring signature and an anonymized address created on a special basis to keep the transaction private. Monero also runs on a proof of work verification standard similar to Bitcoin.

Finally, Monero has a strong community support foundation because it is founded on the principle of privacy and decentralization. These values are the focus of the electronic money concept from the beginning. This is why we believe XMR is a good long-term investment right now.

10. Litecoin – LTC

Litecoin was established in 2011 and has become a Bitcoin alternative with the largest market capitalization of over $ 3 billion.

LTC takes the key features of Bitcoin and is technologically advanced. The difference between Bitcoin and Litecoin is the total supply, which is 84 million compared to Bitcoin's 21 million. The average harvest time of a block on LTC blockchain is 2.5 minutes while it is 10 minutes for BTC. LTC is also one of the four major electronic coins on Coinbase. For these reasons, Litecoin will survive this year's altcoin baths.
