Google Home will now allow you to make free calls with just one "Hey Google"

Google has released a new update for their devices by allowing free calls over Wi-Fi to landlines or mobile phones and of course to their own Google Home device.

The voice calls were enabled for the United States last August, but now with this new update all the users in Canada and England, will also be able to communicate by voice among the contacts that have registered in the Gmail account paired with the device, either mobile phone or landline.

Calls will be free only if they are non-Premium numbers, (services that charge per call to the user) and that the people you call are within the territory of those 3 countries.

For the moment and until the end of 2018, the person you call will see "Unidentified number" or "Unknown" on the screen.

The device came to market in the United States in May 2016 and by the beginning of 2017 they reached other markets, at a price of US $ 99 in its normal version, about US $ 39 in its mini version and if you are a Geek there is the Max version that integrates "A great speaker" that has integrated an automatic equalizer that adjusts to the acoustics of the room where it is a "reasonable" US $ 400.

The main competitor of Google Home is the Amazon device called Echo which sells for about US $ 79 in its normal version and US $ 40 in its mini version and has almost the same functions as Google's. But, where the company of the largest search engine in the world, has given a big blow at the table with these free calls.

These devices are opening the way for the "internet of things" since its launch, because it allows you not only to make phone calls over wifi or through your phone even if you do not have it at hand, but it allows you to connect with more than 5,000 smart devices such as lamps, refrigerators, televisions, ventilation system and everything you can imagine, and regardless of the brands of these as Google Home is compatible with third parties.
