Member of the Board of the European Central Bank (ECB), Benoit Kerou, considers Bitcoin "the devil of a financial crisis." Linking his creation to the 2008 crisis.

On November 15, Keru made a number of statements about cryptocurrencies in a speech at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).

Earlier, the head of the BIS, Augustin Carstens, also criticized cryptocurrencies, calling them “a symbiosis of the bubble, the financial pyramid and the ecological catastrophe”.

“Bitcoin is an incredibly smart idea. Unfortunately, not all clever ideas are good, ”the official said.
