BTC - It's all about perspective

Usually when talking about bitcoin currently, all everyone can talk about is how crappy it has performed.

However, that may not exactly be the case.

You see, it only has performed crappy if you were one of the investors that invested in the last year or so.

If we zoom out a bit and look at the bigger picture, we can see that if you had bought bitcoin on this date in any previous year (except last year and 2014), you would be well up on your investment:

I am not sure if that is comforting or discouraging, but it is what it is.

Interestingly enough, if you had bought bitcoin on this date back in 2014, it took about 3 years (on this date) for prices to be higher again.

If that pattern repeats, we won't see Bitcoin over $7,600 until Feb of 2021.

Well it could surge and drop of course, but on this actual date.
