Ripple aims to create an ecosystem of companies with its "Xpring" initiative

In a report on Monday, the company Ripple reported on its intentions to expand its XRP through its new initiative "Xpring", with which pretends to create an ecosystem of companies.

Recall that Ripple only owns 60% of all XRP tokens, currently valued, according to its 'Coin market cap', at US $ 28.7 billion, making it the third most valuable cryptocurrency internationally.

However, these figures are about to change, because Ripple reported that with its initiative "Xpring" plans to bring new investors, companies and innovators to build an ecosystem around the XRP, thus promoting its use.

To achieve this goal, Ripple hired the former technology director on Facebook, Ethan Beard, to carry out the development of the project.

According to the vice president of commercial operations of Ripple, Eric Van Miltenburg:

The objective is to support the companies that we believe will benefit from the development of the XRP ledger. [...] The support will come in a variety of forms: investment, incubation and the potential for acquisition or donations. We are focused on proven entrepreneurs in the use of the ledger and XRP to address the problems of their customers. [...] There has been enough interaction to say that there is work to be done [and] now is the time to take charge of the matter. In the last four or six months [the Xpring projection] came true.

Beard and Van Miltenburg revealed that the project currently supports:

Scooter Braun, entertainment talent manager, entrepreneur and founder of SB Projects. To Stefan Thomas, inventor of the Interledger Protocol (ILP), creator of BitcoinJS, co-founder of TxtBear. To Thomas McLeod, entrepreneur, co-founder and CEO of Omni. To Bart and Brad Stephens, co-founders of Blockchain Capital.

In addition, the initiative plans to provide support to artists, providing them with a distribution platform and means of income flow through the Ripple platform based on Blockchain.

The Xpring and Ripple initiative are already investing and researching hundreds of projects, but they remain open to new ideas and suggestions to move forward with their goal of taking the XRP to boundaries not previously explored.
