Dear Steemians,

I want to share this link to [Matt Levine's blog] (https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/authors/ARbTQlRLRjE/matthew-s-levine) on Bloomberg.

I receive his blogs by e-mail (almost) daily and really enjoy reading his insights. What I find so unique and special about his posts is that they provide a historical context to what is happing in today's world.

The crypto space is full of people who came into finance through the back door (like myself). I was a software entrepreneur who, back in February 2014, could no longer accept the fact that I knew nothing about Bitcoin. So I bought one because I thought to jump into cold water was the best and true way of learning how to swim.

In his blog, Matt Levine shares his deep and profound understanding of the classic financial world with us crypto dudes. Usually half of his posts deal with the current world (the old world as we would say), the second half deals with crypto.

If you are somewhat literate in finance you will find his posts hilariously comical. In addition, you can learn a ton about the financial world.

In today's episode, he talks about the essence of a stock exchange what used to be a place where investors would meet to trade. I truly enjoy these reductions to the core. Especially in today's world with its over-complications in the form of politicians and regulators who operate on borrowed power (think of a politician as a steem account with lots of delegated steem power) and try to protect the simple man on the street (does this even exist?) from making stupid mistakes.

IMO, Matt Levine has a funny way of rooting the problem's of today's financial world to their simple facts.

I will for sure check the blog you shared simply because I am "not schooled" at all about the finance world and since I own cryptos that might be a good idea, especially knowing that "old wolfs" of finances are keeping an eye on such assets or already own some. By the way...you are very lucky, if I can put it this way, to have been heard about and bought Bitcoin in 2014. I only found out about it in mid 2018 and had the guts to buy some in December the same year... By that time almost everyone had the guts to buy and thought it will moon.
