What will happen next about bitcoin

So would selling/consolidating alt coins into the big boys that are underpriced right now like BTC, LTC, etc be a good move, or would that be considered locking in losses on those alt coins?

If I feel like BTC or LTC has a better shot of not only losing more value but also let's say doubling vs one of my shittier underperforming alt coins then I feel like that may be a decent move to prevent further losses and hopefully catch the wave back up, but I'm kinda new and wouldn't want to make a bad situation even worse.
