First they ignore you

in #bitcoin5 years ago

I'm sure most know about this by now, but it sure feels great to read the replies to the now infamous tweet. The truth is that the old saying goes perfectly here.

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."

This presidential tweet (I can't believe there's such thing) basically confirms us being in stage three, one step away from winning. You see, the signs have been there all along, and I've seen countless people pushing for Trump to be vocal on his stance regarding Cryptocurrencies.

Now I will say this: I'm sure he did not write it. Why? Aside from the fact that the english skill level is above his normal, the knowledge or lack thereof to make these comments is something I'm positive he's not too familiar with.

In other words, there's the known unknowns, and then the unknown unknowns, and I'm sure Trump is standing knowledge is on the latter.

What did this do to the price of BTC? Well, as you can see from the markets, nothing. Most people don't care, and even some of his allies, some people who are vocal supporters of Trump did not hesitate to call him out on this.

USD is STRONG, but...

Let's not forget it stands on a feeble foundation, an economic bubble that is about to implode. On top of that, it was not even two weeks ago that Trump said that the US should enter the FIAT devaluation game to "compete" with China. A comment that mind you, had everyone's head spinning.

At any rate my friends, be happy about this, I sure am... we are in stage three...

Excellent review @meno and I agree with you, the third stage is now the most suitable!

Trump slamming something is basically free advertising! 😝

yes, he very well might be the most followed person on twitter... so there's that...

All publicity is good publicity!

Corruption politicians will do anything to stop the adoption of blockchain technology. They know they cannot last for very long inside the future built blockchain systems inside the government.

Fiat and crypto are both based on faith. One in a government and the other in a technology. If an issue occurs with either the markets both react the same.
Crypto are actually a desire for most governments because they want complete control and access to your wealth. The FED is already pushing a cashless society card idea that I pray never happens. Thanks for sharing

Oh, they can't be having everyone winning! Because then they lose.

Only a few hours later the news also comes out that the US needs to approve another raise in the debt ceiling! Coincidence? They cannot say the contrary and allow better options to be noticed by those than hold fiat in banks to store value.

I'm wondering if Bitcoin is so weak as president says then why it's got world all presidents eyes.
