Gods Unchained introduces card fusing
Players of the trading card game Gods Unchained now have options for card fusing, which means that two or more of their cards are merged into one more valuable version. The resource needed to fuse cards is called Flux, and can only be obtained by winning competitive matches. Players will need to increase their rank and gather wins to earn enough Flux to add value to their cards.
While playing Gods Unchained players will earn packs. These packs have five core cards. When a player has two identical plain core cards, they can spend Flux and fuse them into an upgraded Meteorite version of the same card. The asset is then added to the blockchain, and therefore obtains real world value.
Creating a common card requires 20 Flux. A rare card requires double that amount, while an epic card uses 120 Flux. The most expensive card to create is a legendary card, which costs 200 Flux.
How much Flux can you earn?
Earning Flux is limited to Ranked Constructed matches only. In addition players need to go through the Gauntlet of the Gods. This system promotes versatility, as it forces players to switch to a new god every time they win a game. The Gauntlet of the Gods resets every 24 hours, and the amount of earned Flux increases every god a player has won a match with.

In addition a player with a Bronze rank will earn 65.5 Flux for going through the whole Gauntlet. A player with Mythic rank earns 1310 Flux.
What is Fusing in Gods Unchained?
Gamers who play Gods Unchained will earn Core cards along the way. These cards can only be earned by playing the game or buying them from other players. Once they have multiple copies of the same card, they will be able to fuse them. The Fusing System combines these game cards and makes a non-fungible token out of them.
For example, two plain cards create one bronze card. In addition three bronze cards create one iron card, four bronze create one meteorite, five meteorite create one shadow card, and five shadow cards become a golden card. Ultimately players can create a diamond card by combining five golden cards. Keep in mind, these numbers are from September 2019 and are subject to change.
Future of Gods Unchained
Game studio Immutable will be expanding Fusing in the months to come. In addition there will be special events that will allow players to create an exclusive card out of existing cards. The studio is now working on its first competitive season, introducing Hero Cards and new gameplay mechanics along the way.
