How to check your bitcoin addresses in bulk

in #bitcoin6 years ago (edited)

If you have a long list of bitcoin addresses and want to find out the balance of each address but don't want to check each address manually, you have multiple options.

To check only the balance of your bitcoin address, you don't need to input the private key [1]. All you need is to input your public bitcoin address, e.g. 1Example3YwQzJ1c6gK8FGTXiC7uU1zUo.

1) Import bitcoin addresses into Electrum wallet as read-only:

Create a new watch-only wallet in Electrum and import your bitcoin addresses, one per line. Now you can check the balance of all your bitcoin addresses quickly and easily with your desktop wallet.

2) Use Home Bitcoin's online address checker:

Visit http://www.homebitcoin.com/easybalance/ and input your bitcoin addresses one per line, then click Get Balance. You can also check Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold balances with this tool.

3) Get an email when your balance changes:

If you wait for a payment, there's no need to check your bitcoin address multiple times per day, if you use Blockonomics's wallet watcher. This tool sends you an email when your bitcoin address balance changes, i.e. when someone sends you bitcoin or when you spend bitcoin: https://www.blockonomics.co/views/wallet-watcher.html Input your bitcoin addresses then navigate to Settings -> Subscribe to transaction notification email.

[1] (You only need to import your private key into a trusted bitcoin wallet, when you want to spend bitcoin.)
