MARKET UPDATE: 24.01.2018 Small Bull sentiment
Good morning Steemians
After taking a nice coffee, is nice to go to your Blockfolio account and see that some green is marking the pace for today. According to Coinmarketcap.com the 20 top coins are on the green today (except #NEM with a small -0,08%).
#BTC is up 4.56% on the day, at $11,025.20 by press time,
#ETH up 3.83% with a given price of $1,001.19
#XRP follow with a 7.81% at $1.37
Biggest winner on the day is #Stellar (XLM) with a 17.59% on at a $0.537136 price by press time.
I would not rush to buy more positions until a surge in price is confirmed, as mentioned in my report from yesterday there is the daunting fact that tomorrows Bitcoins Future will expire.
The sentiment is a little better though, with yesterday announcement that Bitflyer will operate in Europa after receiving the go ahead from the European regulator (Link to news). This confirms the two different trends worldwide facing Cryptos, once positive and constructive like the one in Europe and Switzerland, and a negative one like in China and a little less in S. Korea. Though the writer believes is all a little FUD.
In other news, Coinbase surpassed its yearly Revenue target by 66% reaching an amazing 1Bn Mark (Link to news)
Market View
As mentioned yesterday there is no clear trend right now, this small bull run is not even above 5% in general, which means is a little rebound. Unless some big announcement comes out the market will keep sideways as the last 24 hours. As mentioned by me and many other Steemers and publications ,like this one there is an unnecesary overreaction to news, and even more when those are negative, the S. Korea confirmation on the date of Ban for those Exchanges which do not comply with basic AML and KYC regulations, for example, is a clear case of FUD spreading. Guys we need a regulated market, and being regulated means being accepted, otherwise it will keep being the Wild West it has been so far...
To confirm a Bullish sentiment I would be paying attention to some indicators like BTC surpassing the USD 12.500 level, and also XRP a USD 1.53 per coin. Otherwise keep your positions as they are and let the market confirm the trend. As mentioned before, be aware of tomorrows Futures, some market manipulation may be playing around from the Whales at Wall Street.
