What is Bitmex?
BitMEX is a Peer-to-Peer Trading Platform that offers leveraged contracts that are bought and sold in Bitcoin. There are many exchanges that allow you to trade altcoins when the market is bullish, but when the market is bearish it’s all about buying back rather than actual shorting. Bitmex allows traders to go long and short on Bitcoin whenever they want and with how much leverage they want. Bitmex gives you the opportunity to trade up to a 100x leverage and ask a small amount of commission per trade!
Cold storage for funds!
Bitmex is also very active on monitoring and auditing their platform to maintain quality and continue to provide good services. Whats also great about Bitmex is that even though you have to trust your funds to the platform they do hold all the money into a cold storage which minimizes the risk of being hacked compared some other trading platforms related to crypto.
It happened very often that an exchange was hacked and people's money was stolen. This is because exchanges use one wallet address for a coin for all users. This means that when the exchanges are hacked, hackers have access to all bitcoins stored on people's accounts! For this reason, I am happy that bitmex uses this technology to prevent such a things!
My experience
In my own experience Bitmex has a very simple and userfriendly-interface and once you’re used to it you don’t want anything else. It’s a great platform to gain some Bitcoin overtime rather than looking at dollars or euro’s. I myself trade to gain as much BTC as I can and Bitmex is a great way to do that!
Yet! I must admit that if your really into trading altcoins i recommend trading on either;

- binance
- Poloniex
