My rendition In English: France, as the head of G20 asks Argentina

to regulate bitcoin.

The announcement came from Bruno Le Maire warned that the virtual coin could explode. The push will be talked about again in the next meeting in April.
(* still my translation and summary*)

from source in today's news...

summary as I read it

The article goes on to say...

France proposes that the G20 group have talks next year on how to regulate bitcoin. (They don't know yet that the can't)

"Blah blah.. and I am here to guarantee the security of those with savings. There is an obious risk of speculation."

Then it talks about the bitcoin bubble popping.. (still translating)

Repeating - repeating - (where is journalism?) repeating, "... and bitcoin has gone up 1700% since the beginning of the year."

"On Friday, the EU will meet to discuss and agreement on stricter AML and Terror Funding rules for bitcoin platforms as well as other virtual currencies."

Done translating

I wanted to get this out to you since many of my followers are in South America and we all have skin in the game. Last weekend I was out with the kids and the entire area around Puerto Madero was cosed off with metal barricades and military police with machine guns at the openings. We asked about it and I knew the G20 had been here. But boy, did they leave a smelly fart in their wake!

in other news...

I normally don't watch any news here in Argentina, but since my oldest rode through tear gas, rubber bullets, and pepper spray on the way to and from school last week near the "Congreso" building, I had to ask people what it's all about. And it's happening today again. Nobody can get from point A to B at all.

It appears Argentina is set to be the next Greece

The protests are going on all over as the government votes to cut payments to the elderly. Can you say "austerity"?

So, the mega lender is giving the government more paper to pay people where the mega lender is... The same thing has happened in Greece already. How many times? Now they are starting in South America (again).

Thank you for posting @sponge-bob.

Appreciated hearing the information as Argentina is on bleujay's radar....as it is in the Cone.

So sorry to hear you are close enough to have to deal with the disturbance just as Germany had issue with earlier this year....it was @timsaid who wrote a post about being in the fray.

Steemians appreciate hearing your experiences....thank you.

Wishing you and yours a Happy Christ-mas.

Cheers.

This will be fun to watch... they move so slow and you're right they don't yet they can't regulate it.

Hey man, thanks for this news

The bitcoin is certainly making the big moves to go mainstream :D

It fell a little since I wrote this one, but I buy the dip so... Good for the next jump! Thanks for your support.

Stay safe my friend. Thankful you have bitcoin to shield your finances in the uncertainty.

Thanks! Since then, my friends on chat said they will be cracking down on people who are registered on sites that use bitcoin. There is one that I used long ago called SatoshiTango.com where you could have stacks of cash delivered to your door next morning for bitcoin. You could also pay electric, gas, cable, taxes, etc. there.

One person I met today said I should send a note asking SatoshiTango to delete my account and my documents. He was sincere when he said it as if they will. :)

Thankfully you have friends like that looking out for you.

The total market capitalization has crossed $600 billion!

The big dawgs are worried. I really thought I had moved far enough away from the USSA before the temper tantrum hit... Guess not.

Nice information... Total Market Cap is $621,973,698,525.. now
