Bitcoin Transactions in Indonesia Translucent Rp1 Trillion per Day

The transaction of bitcoin electronic money in Indonesia reached Rp1 trillion per day, said Luno digital asset company in Jakarta, Wednesday (9/5/2018).

"Bitcoin transactions every day in Indonesia can reach Rp 1 trillion," said Operations and Growth Lead Luno, Claristy, "Awareness is already in Indonesia, although the market is not as big as neighboring countries."

Luno himself claims that Bitcoin Luno's wallet users in Indonesia have grown 400 percent. With this growth, Bitcoin Luno wallet users in Indonesia has reached 300,000 people.

"Users of Bitcoin Luno's new wallets can be up to 500 to 700 every day," said Head of Business Development Luno, Vijay Ayyar.

According to Vijay, the growing popularity of Bitcoin is due to significant price increases as well as benefits that tend to be easier to obtain.

"Bitcoin is the latest asset other than gold.As you can say, Bitcoin is gold in the digital world," he continued.

For now, the exchange rate of Bitcoin is very high compared to other digital assets. Currently alone, 1 bictoin valued Rp130 ​​million.

Another factor, says Vijay, which causes the popularity of Bitcoin to skyrocket is its decentralized nature. It makes Bitcoin much more secure than other digital assets.

"Bitcoin is not easy to fall because bitcoin is not owned by anyone, it is not connected to the economy, not many external factors influence it," he explained.
