A Jealous Woman from the USA Wanted to Kill Her Rival, Having Paid in BTC for It

A resident of Illinois, paid for a service of a hired killer in Bitcoin, to “take down” the wife of the man who she started to date. For an attempt, the woman will receive up to 20 years in prison.

Sometimes, love pushes people to insane actions, in particular, if love is addressed to someone who is married to another person. 31-year-old Tina Jones was arrested by the state police, who accused the detainee of a contract killing, paid for by cryptocurrency.

The jealous woman worked with her man together in the same medical center in Loyola. Apparently the man wanted to break off the relationship, which the woman took very painfully, and therefore decided to take such a desperate step.

For this purpose, a man was hired, who got a task from Tina: to kill the wife of her former lover. The search for a mercenary was carried out in a darknet where “Cosa Nostra International” was found. According to Robert Berlin, the district attorney of Dupage, the woman went to a website that, apparently, positions itself as a “killing for hire” site, and paid more than $10000.

Jones used Bitcoin as a means of payment. Robert added that the customer left specific instructions on the website: the killer should come when the man is at work, which gives information about when the victim is left alone. She left demands calling for “not to harm her husband”, and also to present it as an accident.

Police in Dupan County, Illinois, arrested the woman with the help of a 48 Hours TV show on CBS.

Last Wednesday, a woman visited the court, where she was charged with intentional contract murder. A criminal case was started against Tina Jones. The bail amount is 250 000 dollars. Repeatedly, Jones must appear in court on the 15th of May, where if she loses the case, she will be sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment.
