A new day, a new scam

in #bitcoin6 years ago

The scammers now claim to be John McAfee to steal BTCs and ETHs from unsuspecting users. Tesla Model 3 for the victim.

If you send 2 BTC or 20 ETH, you will receive the main prize - the personalized Tesla Model 3, signed by John McAfee, "The delivery is paid" - was stated in the article on Medium.
However, this time, Medium and McAfee have nothing to do with it. The URL is wrong, but the scammers have not yet been used. According to whois, the domain was created two days ago.

The scammers offer users a small amount of BTC or ETH for verification of their account, after which they will receive more cryptocurrency. This sounds like a win-win option!

Unfortunately, this does not happen. The site is filled with comments on behalf of users claiming huge profits. Of course, all these comments are false. A deceived user who sends BTC or ETH will not receive anything. In addition, most of the links on this site are dead and the ones that work are redirected to the support homepage. In addition, ordinary users do not have the opportunity to comment on this article.

The good news is that no one has been scammed yet. Hard Fork has studied the Bitcoin and Ethereum addresses listed on the site - they have not received any funding so far.

Any project that promises you money without doing anything. Never forget that cheese is only in a mousetrap.
