MAMÁ, ME QUIERO DEDICAR A LA MINERÍA - MOM, I WANT TO DEDICATE TO MINING

Se imaginan uds, mamás de este mundo globalizado, que su hijo le diga un día en el desayuno, “mamá, me quiero dedicar a la minería”, ¿Qué pensaría Ud?. Muy probablemente pensaría y de manera inmediata en un túnel, minerales, barro y polvo. Pues claro, a nosotros nos enseñaron en la escuela y en el bachillerato que la minería está referida a:

una actividad económica del sector primario representada por la explotación o extracción de los minerales que se han acumulado en el suelo y subsuelo en forma de yacimientos. (Fuente: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miner%C3%ADa).

Pero déjeme decirle que no, ahora no solo se refiere a esa actividad, también es un proceso digital con el cual se generan las criptodivisas. Facilito de entender, bueno para los más jóvenes en casa o para quienes se dedican a actividades vinculadas a la ingeniería en sistemas, economía o finanzas digitales, etc, pero no para nosotros comunes mortales que apenas estamos en pañales en estas lides. Pero veamos pues, que significa eso de generar criptodivisas, ¿acaso me convierto en una suerte de Casa de la Moneda?, pero ¿Dónde?, ¿Cómo? Para empezar veamos otro concepto que nos remite a la minería digital:

Es un proceso mediante el cual se confirman las transacciones. Los ordenadores que realizan minería reciben tasas de las operaciones que confirman y, además, los que resuelven las operaciones matemáticas reciben como premio Bitcoins de nueva creación. Y esto aplica a cualquier criptomoneda, sin embargo me quiero detener acá, porque algunos pensaran lo complicado que es tener que resolver problemas matemáticos en su computadora, y me imagino a varios pensando, vaya, yo que no me destaque en matemáticas, ¿Cómo hago? Pues bien, quédese tranquilo, porque es su computadora la que se va a encargar de resolver parte de las transacciones necesarias para generar la cripto. Cuando hay varios equipos realizando estas operaciones se les denomina granjas.

Se requiere eso sí, no cualquier computadora, sino un equipo que realmente soporte algunos componentes de alta tecnología, así como programas (hardware), que no son nada económicos, pero que cumplen con el proceso de resolución de estas complicadas matemáticas; una vez confirmada la transacción se guarda en la blockchain. Considero prudente informarles que se puede minar de varias maneras, no solo a través de una computadora en casa, también se puede en la nube.

Y la nube no es más que un sitio en el cual se guardan miles y miles de archivos, para ello se requieren equipos de computación muy grandes y especiales, es decir, ud va a guardar los archivos en la web y accede a ellos a través de internet. También puede usar programas que no están instalados en su computadora pero que están en esos servidores en la nube. Así que ya sabe, si le hablan del The Cloud, le están hablando del sitio (nube) donde se obtienen archivos, programas, etc que bien los guardo ud o alguien más que los comparte.

Pero, ¿cómo es eso de minar desde internet? Bueno eso es tema de otro post.

Easy to understand, good for the youngest at home or for those engaged in activities related to systems engineering, economics or digital finance, etc., but not for us ordinary mortals who are barely in diapers in these conflicts. But let's see, what does it mean to generate cryptocurrency, do I become a sort of Casa de la Moneda?, but where? How? To begin, let's see another concept that refers us to digital mining:

It is required, not any computer, but a team that really supports some components of high technology, as well as programs (hardware), which are not cheap, but that comply with the process of solving these complicated mathematics; once the transaction is confirmed it is saved in the blockchain. I consider it prudent to inform you that it can be mined in various ways, not only through a computer at home, but also in the cloud. And the cloud is nothing more than a site in which thousands and thousands of files are saved, for that very large and special computing equipment is required, that is, you will save the files on the web and access them through from Internet. You can also use programs that are not

installed on your computer but are on those servers in the cloud. So you know, if you talk about The Cloud, you are talking about the site (cloud) where you get files, programs, etc that either you saved or someone else who shares them.
