Facebook will release its own cryptocurrency
In the American media, there is information that the management of the social network Facebook plans to release its own cryptocurrency. Colleagues Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that their company has a small team that is studying the blockchain technology, reports Express newspaper.
“Facebook started learning blockchain technology about a year ago. Then the only person from the corporate development team of the social network was doing this. However, another 10 people joined her this week, ”Recode writes.

The most interesting thing is that in the winter, Facebook representatives said that they did not plan to integrate cryptocurrency into their applications in the near future. Like, for them it is still expensive.

For Facebook, it has nothing to do with empowering people and everything to do with cashing in on the latest economic fad. This might help mainstream adoption, but this is probably going to be the most centralized crypto in existence.
