Bitcoin owners and Wallets Distribution
Though the bitcoin is one of the most "famous" cryptocurrencies and it is mentioned from time to time, in the media in various occasions, some positive other negative - most people in the world still haven't started buying and owning bitcoins.
There are 7.5 billions people in the world
4.5 billions have no access to Internet but there are 3 billions that do have access to the web.
Here below is a table of the distribution of bitcoins wallets:
looking at the table you can realize how early we are in the bitcoin concurrency era
There are 18,384 bitcoin milliners that own more than 100 bitcoins in their wallets => those are probably the early comers that had the chance of buying bitcoin for a very low price and now they are super rich
There are 14,457,671 wallets that contain very small amount of bitcoins (1$ - 40$) => probably those people check test and play with small amount of bitcoins ..a 40$ cannot be considered an investment :)
There are 3,795,292 wallets that contain ,bitcoins (40$ - 4,000$) 0.01 - 1 BTC => those amount could be considered a kind of a very small investment
There are ONLY 597,811 wallets that contain 1-100 bitcoins (4,000$ - 400,000$) that is a reasonable amount of money to hypothesis that it is an investment.
so, totally, I would say, there are only about 4 millions of people in the world that have invested few thousends of dollars to buy one or more bitcoins
It reminds me the early mid 90's when people already heard about Internet and some even had computers but most of the people were not using the internet nor had a contract with Internet Service Providers ...and then ..at a certain point ...suddenly everyone would go and buy a computer connect it to the internet and start using it and getting familiar with what internet could do ...at that time.
just think what would happen when bitcoin will go mainstream and everyone will want to have their money invested in part in bitcoins.
