Goldman Is Considering Offering Cryptocurrency Custody Services
One of the biggest issues that regulators have with approving cryptocurrency is the custody of the keys. Rarely does a week go by where there isn't a story about some centralized exchange getting hacked.
This has caused many to question the custody of the tokens if a fund like an ETF was approved.
Goldman Sachs might provide the answer. They might put together a cryptocurrency custody service where they would be responsible for the safety of the tokens. Essentially, they would provide insurance which would allow other Wall Street funds to invest in this sector.
