In the Craig Wright case, another self-appointed creator of Bitcoin

On July 22, the Belgian Debo Jürgen Etienne Guido sent a letter to the Federal Court in Florida addressed to Bruce Reinhart, the judge in charge of the ongoing proceedings between Craig Wright and the Kleiman family.

"I hereby confirm that I am the true and sole creator of the genesis block in the Bitcoin blockchain. I used the nickname Satoshi Nakamoto and e-mail [email protected] to write and publish white paper bitcoin," the letter says.

The case began in February 2018, when relatives of the deceased David Clayman sued the Australian businessman Craig Wright, who also attributed himself to Bitcoin. The plaintiffs claim that Wright could have misappropriated hundreds of thousands of Bitcoins and are demanding $5 billion from him on the basis of a partnership with Cleiman in the past.

In June, Wright stated that he could not comply with a court order to provide a list of alleged first Bitcoin addresses under his control. Wright argues that before Clayman's death, they separated critical components to gain access to wallets, making it impossible to withdraw assets from them at this time.

According to a screenshot published by Guido, Kleiman's lawyer contacted him and offered to sign a joint proposal for a genesis block of Bitcoin. Guido did not support this idea and recommended that a similar request be made to Wright.
