Hertz July updates!

Hertz is an algorithm based asset (market pegged asset) issued on the BTS DEX which is pegged to 1 USD & modified by a sine wave to oscillate the feed price 14% predictably forever (between $0.86 and $1.14). Hz tokens have at least 175% Bitshares in backing collateral to secure their settlement value, and at any point a Hertz asset holder can request a settlement of Hz back into BTS.

So let's cut to the chase - recent Hertz updates!

New price feed publishers!

Hertz now has 12 price feed publishers! Fox and Clockwork are our most recent additions! Remember to support price feed publishers with their worker proposals & witness applications!

New price feed scripts for Hertz!

We already had Hertz price feed support in bts_tools, btsprice, xeroc's bitshares pricefeed and the reference python price feed scripts - we now have a javascript implementation by clockwork - check it out & give him a shout out for doing a job well done!

Hertz-feed daily TX activity

Since launching Hz, the hertz-feed account has produced 1,726,241 price feed values for the Hertz ABA (approx every 6 seonds)! We're doing our part in increasing Bitshares Blocktivity ranking!

• Improve the reference hertz price feed
  • publish feeds every block (6s delay -> 3s)
  • use metanode, or improve node selection mechanisms.
• Improve the Hertz whitepaper & get it translated.
• Get Hertz featured in more wallets - need to improve visibility, adoption & liquidity.

Charts glitch?

As you can see in the above, the charts appear slightly glitched & appear to imply that the feed price was stuck - the stats tracking was stuck on a slightly incompatible node & after a change in node selection is correctly displaying the new chart data!
