Bitshares problem

This is the situation , when bitshares moved the wallets i lost access to my wallet, ive turned the house upside down trying to find the seed for my bitshares wallet.
What im wondering is , can i access my bitshares account via steemit ? I ask this because i understand that bitshares and steemit are linked somehow ????
Ive tried to sort this for months now to no avail , i have my username and account number if that helps and i know whats in my wallet , Am i puggied or is there something i can do apart from keep looking for my seed?
