It‘s actually instagram-like. There‘s even an app for it & you mostly can just post images, but also include a text, which is then actually a blogpost here on steemit. I always forget to post blogs in steepshot, where I have an image as title:D That‘s why I only have one post on steepshot^^
Yes... as @jellenmark wrote it is for images. There is an app, and what you post there automaticlly apears on steemit, but not the other way around. I have used it twice now, and not much of expert for it :)
